Hermon Laboratories provides a wide range of environmental simulations for product testing during storage, transportation and operation. Environmental testing is used to prove product reliability, verify manufacturer claims regarding operational limitations, and determine realistic warranty terms and preparation of procedures for safe product operation.
Hermon Laboratories offers the following environmental testing services:
- Vibration testing
Up to 110 G, 3 axes, from 5Hz up to 2000Hz, 3.500 force/kgs, payload up to 450 kg. We can perform various vibration tests: Sine, Random, Sine on Random, Random on Random, Gunfire Vibration. Vibration testing includes all types of sea, air and land transportation.
- Shock testing
Up to 110 G, payload up to 450 kg.
- Temperature & Humidity testing
Computer controlled chambers can produce constant or cyclic ESS testing, high\low temperature from -70⁰C to +360⁰C with temperature ramp up to 10⁰C/min 2-70 (consider) combined with humidity of up to 98%.
- Altitude testing
Altitude testing combined with temperature cycles and humidity. Altitude range up to 100,000 feet (10.9 mBar), temperature range from -70⁰C to +170⁰C and relative humidity range from 20% to 98%.
- Loose Cargo (Bounce)
Circular synchronous with low r.p.m. (300 rpm ± 10%), low frequency (5 Hz), Payload up to 30 kg, dimensions 61 x 72 cm
- Drop test
0.5 - 500 Kg EUT weight, 0.3-1.5 meter distance fall, any angle, age or side.

- Explosive atmosphere
A unique explosive atmosphere chamber is capable of achieving altitudes up to 60,000 ft (71.1 mBar) combined with temperatures up to +85°C.
- Rain test
Dripping, Splashing, Blowing and Driven Rain test with typical wind speeds up to 18m/sec .
- IP code testing
IP1-6X dust testing with or without Vacuum to IPX1-8 water protection include all types of rain (Dripping, Splashing etc Rain and Immersion) according to IEC 60529 standard.
- Salt fog testing
Accelerated corrosion atmospheres: 5% salt and 95% relative humidity.
- Wind machine
Up to 50 meters per second in velocity
- Contamination test (Liquid susceptibility)
Subjecting test item or material samples to various types of fluids as required by MIL-STD-810 and RTCA-160DO standards or by customer requirements.

- HALT & HASS tests
Temperature range from -100°C to +200°C, temperature ramp up to 70°C/min, Tri-Axial vibrations, Six-Degree-of-Freedom (6DoF) with a non-coherent broadband spectrum of 5-10000 Hz at a level up to 100 gRMS.
- Icing testing
Ice buildup on test articles according to MIL-STD-810 and RTCA-160DO standards.
- Sand and Dust testing
Blowing Sand, Dust and Settling dust according to MIL-STD-810 and IEC 60529 standards with controlled conditions of temperature and humidity and wind velocity range up to 18m/s. Various dust compositions are available to meet standard requirements.
- Overpressure tests
Overpressure up to 2000 mBar according to MIL-STD-810 and RTCA-160 standards.
- Decompression tests
Rapid Decompression from 8,000 feet to 60,000 feet less than in 15 Seconds.
